My wife and I came across this restaurant while staying in North Conway for a week. The first time we stopped, they were closed, but the owner came out to greet us and let us know when they were open. Even though they were closed, he offered to serve us, which was a very nice gesture. We didn’t want to put him out, so we declined but came back the next day during operating hours.
The food was excellent. Prices were a little higher than we’re used to, but we sort of expected that, given that this is a tourist and vacation area, and New Hampshire’s high restaurant tax made the prices much higher than they would have otherwise been.
This is a small restaurant. The ambiance, service, and quality of the food are excellent, and I recommend it highly.
First time ordering as we were staying in Albany. We had always driven by but never stopped.. glad we did! Delicious food! We ordered some apps (wings and skins), chicken Caesar salad, chili, Rueben, chicken caprese sandwich and a cheese quesadilla. Everything was packaged correctly (hot chicken packaged separate from the cold salad, carrots/celery for wi gs put UNDER the liner so they weren’t soggy, condiments included and on the side), and was delicious. Chili was the highlight and you could tell it was scratch made. My daughter said it was the best cheese quesadilla ever! We will be back
Really liked everything about this place and it is just outside the tourist trap that it didnt feel over crowded or chintzy
Service was excellent and the fish and chips were delicious. The fries were amazing also. Excellent casual dining. Would return again!
The food and service was very good. We had the appetizer “tater kegs” soooo good! I had a turkey wrap and my boyfriend had the roast pork dinner. Both were outstanding.
Food is good and comes in generous portions. Service is prompt and efficient and with a smile on their faces.
They have a lovely outside seating area with sun umbrellas.
It is always nice to find a nice local place that has great food and service. This looked like a place where the ‘locals’ hang out, and that’s always a good sign. This is a rustic, lively sports-type bar, with friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Get the Grand Slam Burger…awesome. Nice wraps, sandwiches and pulled pork. And fries that are out of this world. Just be careful in leaf season, the place fills up quickly.
Great place to grab a meal. Service was fast a friendly. Food was good, portions were the right size, and priced accordingly. We had the chicken parmesan with pasta and Pastrami & Swiss, both delicious! Couple of local beers on tap and the standards on tap as well as bottled beer. Very open atmosphere but not crowded. I would certainly recommend and eat here again.
Attentive wait staff, large selection of food (including kids menu), plenty of TVs to watch games. Good size bar. We stopped for lunch on the way back from Loon which worked great.
I had a eagle burger and a beer with deep fried green beans(healthy, right?). Burger was just right. Service was fantastic. Very friendly very nice!!! Prices reasonable. Hope to swing in again sometime. Highly recommend this place!!
We stopped here on a mom/daughter road trip and sat at the bar. The haddock and mac and cheese are both so good, but what makes the whole place are the staff. Everyone was so nice, and when my daughter said to “surprise me” because she couldn’t decide what she wanted to eat, the bartender put in an order for the mac and cheese (which was not at all greasy or heavy like many places make it!) The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. Hands down the best place we’ve eaten on this trip.
It’s a great stop in when you are way out of town. The food was ‘bright’, delicious, “SEASONED” and very tasty. The beer was ice cold. We wanted to stay longer but we had to get rolling…NH-16 …Put a Pin on it!
It was a good experience go snowmobile and fill your hungry stomach in this restaurant that just at the heart of the town. Delicious foods and good service. We definitely be back here on our next adventure
Great food and service! Seems to be a popular spot and the parking lot makes it look very busy but we had no problems being seated right away. The pastrami reuben was fantastic
We enjoy visiting when in Conway. Love the fried fish! Beer always cold. Great, friendly place.
This is one of my favorite places in the North Conway area. The fried Haddock is out of this world. The onion rings and sweet potato fries are great. Bar atmosphere but kid friendly as well. The wait staff are always friendly and accommodating.
We arrived a bit late to North Conway and it was limited on restaurants to get dinner. We found this place online and it said it was open until 930. We raced over there as it was 840, but when we showed up they were closing saying that they actually close at 9. We were so bummed out and told them thank you anyway.
Well the gentlemen said that they would stay open for us to prepare dinner to take with us if we wanted to. They let us stay inside, order dinner for 7 people, talked with us and even let the kids color while we waited.
They were super friendly and accommodated us when they didn’t have to. We truly appreciated their kindness.
On top of that, the food was great. I got a basic BLT and it was to die for. The bacon was incredible and totally made the sandwich. Would definitely recommend coming here if you visit the area.
I haven’t been here in 7-8 years. The place did a complete turnaround.
Personally, I liked the hole-in-the-wall, dive feeling before but his place is great.
The food was great. We will be back with the kids in the summer.
Great meal, great staff. I’ll go back when I’m back in the area. The burger was delicious. Can’t recommend enough!
Very busy holiday season visit. They were very accommodating for a party of 5. The food was good. Service was great as well.
Grand Slam burgers were absolutely amazing and the fries superb 👌👌 Had the best waitress as well- attentive and super friendly. Definitely coming back next time in the area. All the local (and not-so-local) ski mountain posters, photos, and even a couple retro lifts were awesome.
Nice sports tavern with great food and outdoor and indoor seating. Service was fast and the food was delicious and priced nicely
I am so glad I went for a Sunday drive and found this lost Gem
Amazing food
Amazing wait staff
And omg the prices are cheap for the amount of food you get .
Will be coming back all the way from South Portland Maine again for sure
Great location off 16 with outdoor seating. Food was good, service was great and the drinks were cheap! Definitely recommend
